I’ve spent a number of years working within the UK’s High-Performance Olympic and Paralympic sport community, supporting multiple sports. During this time I have worked as a performance psychologist, a people developer, a system builder and a curriculum designer. The sole aim of all of this work has been to support people to win well – to be successful through having high levels of performance, personal growth and well-being; a state I call ‘thriving’.
I have seen first-hand the incredible difference expert coaching can make to performance and the lives that people live in performance. I coach people to create and sustain performance environments that enable this thriving state to happen. I also coach performers directly to support them to thrive in the arena and in their life in performance.
I created the Thrive Academy to bring my learning and skills to people who want support in creating exceptional performance environments that enable people to thrive.
The Thrive Academy take a coaching based approach to supporting people to thrive.
Our work is people and environment driven, meaning that each offer of support is unique and tailored to your needs. Whilst we may use a range of common theories, ideas and strategies, we don’t have any models or “right ways of doing things” that we sell or try and impose on people.
Our approach is designed to help you find your way to thrive. Whether it be your strategy, your environment, your programme design, your practice or your own self-management, we are here to support you.
Supporting you to find your way to thrive means that our approach is to focus on your development. By building the confidence and skill of you and your people, we go a long way to achieving sustainability in your practice and your environment long after our work together has concluded.

A person with purpose - driven by meaning and well-being - is a powerful person indeed. Meaning and well-being breathe life and soul into performance pursuits.
The most important enablers and inhibitors to performance are relational, meaning they require relational solutions. Relationships are an incredibly effective tool to support thriving.
Growth, well-being and performance are best facilitated through the skilful creation of experiences. This is the heart of coaching.
Growth happens through experience, and experience happens in the space between a person and their environment. The best way to promote growth is to have outstanding environments that people are skilful in navigating.
